"We had a lot of ice buildup on our pole barn, the ice started melting in February then froze again building it up more , when it melted again at the end of March beginning of April the ice was sliding down and ripped down the gutters allowing moisture to enter under the roof causing mold, we had a number of professionals look at it and all said the same thing, so state farm sends an adjustsr from Texas to look at it and they said long term maintenance issue which was not true. They just didn't want to pay and we fought until final word in June . state farm lost our trust in them after that. Done with them. of people who were prof"
"Hi Cherl, I apologize that your claim did not go the way you had hoped. Our office did fight for you by speaking directly with the restoration company, the roofer, and the claims adjustor. Unfortunately, the extent of the mold damage indicated that the mold had being growing for sometime which deemed the cause of the loss as a long term maintenance issue. The ice damage to your gutters was covered. When you shop for new insurance, be sure to ask each company for specifics about the mold and water damage coverage in their homeowner policy. Insurance company's are very specific about what is and is not covered in these situations. Again, I sincerely apologize for you unsatisfactory experience and wish you the best. Jenni"
